Install Magic Valley in GDLauncher
Magic Valley runs on Forge. Pick whichever your existing instance uses, or create a new one. GDLauncher installs the correct loader automatically.
Install on Forge
- Open GDLauncher and create a new instance (the + button on the Library page).
- Pick the Forge loader and a Minecraft version that Magic Valley supports (1.20.1 are common choices).
- Open the new instance, go to the Addons tab, and click Add Addons.
- Paste the Quick Install ID
#magic-valley, find Magic Valley in the results, and hit Download. GDLauncher pulls dependencies automatically. - Hit Play. That's it.
Before you install
Make sure your Minecraft version matches what Magic Valley supports. As of the latest release, 1.20.1 are supported. Magic Valley only runs on Forge; mods built for other loaders won't work. GDLauncher checks compatibility for you and won't install something incompatible with the instance you've chosen.
