This package was written by me through the datapack exercise. Because I was tired of vanilla terrain and I always wanted a realistic terrain that was efficient, I set out to refactor vanilla terrain.

Install Epic Terrain in GDLauncher

  1. Open GDLauncher and pick (or create) the instance you want to add Epic Terrain to.
  2. Open the Addons tab and click Add Addons.
  3. Paste the Quick Install ID #epicterrain, select Epic Terrain, and click Download. GDLauncher handles dependencies and version matching automatically.
  4. Hit Play and you're done.

Before you install

Make sure your Minecraft version matches what Epic Terrain supports. As of the latest release, 1.21.4, 1.20.6, 1.19.4 are supported. Epic Terrain supports multiple loaders (Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, Quilt); pick whichever matches your other mods.
